My name is Yesenia Lopez, and I am a bilingual artist, director, and theatre maker based in Sacramento, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Sacramento State and have worked in both community and professional theatre across California and Oregon. My work spans acting, directing, stage management, and teaching, with a passion for storytelling rooted in Latiné identity and social justice.
Some of my favorite roles include Minerva in En el Tiempo de las Mariposas (Milagro Theatre), Reyna in Zoot Suit(Teatro Espejo), and Odessa in Water by the Spoonful (Sacramento State). I recently directed Nocturne by Adam Rapp as a one-man show and am currently developing new work inspired by community narratives and visual poetry.
In addition to performing arts, I have experience in project management, graphic design, and arts education. Whether I’m in the rehearsal room or behind the scenes, I’m dedicated to collaborative, bold, and heart-forward storytelling.
